Unique Corporate Expertise

Ligna has introduced a number of new technologies internationally, based either on its own patents, or on those of its clients. One example:

Ligna has played a key role in the establishment of the world's first full-scale particle board plant using straw as raw material. Ligna has filed patents, prepared the feasibility study, conducted site selection, raw material sourcing, equipment and contractor selection, provided product marketing strategy, financial modeling and the final business plan. Ligna's contribution to the project resulted in the funding and successful start-up of a $150 million production facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
